Saturday invites us to stop striving.
In Jewish time, this is the seventh day of creation, the day God ceased from all work and called it holy. It is Shabbat, the crown of the week. A time not to produce, but to be.
Astrologically, Saturday is ruled by Saturn, the planet of structure, discipline, and soul integrity. This energy asks us to step back, review, reflect, and restore.
You do not have to earn rest. You are already enough. You are already held.
Practice: Place both hands over your belly. Breathe in: "I am complete." Breathe out: "I rest in what is."
Reflection Prompt: What have I created this week that is good? What am I ready to release into stillness?
Sacred Reminder: Shabbat is not an escape, it’s a return. A return to rhythm. A return to presence. A return to the wholeness that was never lost.
As the Talmud says:
"More than the Jews have kept Shabbat, Shabbat has kept the Jews."
Let this Saturday hold you. Let silence be your sanctuary. Let this sacred pause restore your sacred self.
With deep peace,
Melinda
